Drop-off your scrap metal on Friday, October 22nd between 5pm-7pm or Saturday, October 23rd 9am-12pm.

Troop 121 is collecting scrap metal for our gear and scouting programs.

We accept all metals – aluminum, copper, tin, steel, die-cast engines, washer, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, lawnmowers (oil and gas removed), fence, fence posts, copper pipe, iron pipe, chain, chain link fence, wire, car batteries, lawn mower batteries, and other scrap metal.

We do NOT accept – cars without titles, flat-screen TVs, box TVs, laptops, computer monitors, vacuum tubes, and fluorescent lights with PCB ballasts.

You have three ways to donate your scrap metal:

  1. Drop off your scrap at Arlington United Methodist Church (AUMC – address above) during the dates and times listed. Please do not drop off scrap outside of these times!
  2. Drop off your scrap at Bloomington Iron and Metal (BIM) during their normal business hours and let the staff know that you want to donate your proceeds to BSA Troop 121.

  3. Fill out the form below to request a pickup. We have limited resources to pick up scrap, and we encourage everyone who is able to donate through options 1 or 2 above.
